Terms of Use

Last updated: 8 May 2026 · Effective at public launch

By using NephX you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language; if anything is unclear, write to [email protected].

1. Who can use NephX

NephX is intended for qualified medical professionals — nephrologists, transplant physicians, fellows, and allied specialists — in India. We may verify professional credentials at any time.

2. Academic, not clinical

NephX is a peer academic platform. It is not a medical device, an electronic health record, or a tool for primary patient care. Discussion on NephX does not constitute formal medical advice or a doctor–patient relationship.

3. Your responsibilities

4. Content you post

You retain ownership of what you contribute. By posting on NephX you grant the community a non-exclusive licence to display your contribution within the platform and within the searchable academic archive that members rely on for learning.

5. Community archive

A core purpose of NephX is long-term preservation of academic discussion. Even if your account is deleted, content you have contributed to community threads may remain in the archive in de-identified form so the community's learning is not lost. Personal account data is fully removed on deletion.

6. Prohibited content

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

7. Availability

We work hard to keep NephX online but we make no guarantee of uninterrupted service. The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NephX's maintainers are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

8. Changes

We'll update these terms when the platform changes materially. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
